Hey!
Do you like Irish Dancing????
. I Love it!!!!!!!

This part of the Site is all about me and my Irish Dancing experiences with the
Byrne Academy of Dancing
(a.k.a The BAD!!) in the UK
I hope that you will enjoy what's here and keep calling back for regular updates.
My name is Siobhán Amos and I am now 11 years old. I live near Wellingborough in Northamptonshire, England.
This is me in my Byrne Academy of Dancing School Dress. Notice the Claddagh design in the main panel (and in the page background)
The claddagh (rhymes with ladder) ring is an old celtic symbol that denotes the following :
The Ring (or Circle) means Eternity, The Heart stands for LOVE
The Hands stand for Friendship and the Crown stands for Loyalty
I just love to dance in the traditional Irish way.
I have been a dancer for about six years but until December '96 only danced ballet and tap, then my Dad found an Irish dance teacher called Eamonn Byrne (t.c.r.g.) and the rest is history!!
Dad's written a poem about our first lessons click here to read it and see what you think!
All my dancing friends love every minute of our classes but we particularly like to take part in the Feisanna and displays. I usually dance in feisanna in the Midlands (mainly Birmingham & Coventry) but I have been down to Cardiff, Swindon, and London. So far I have collected over 150 place medals and Twenty trophies and have now reached the OPEN grade in all of my dances and I am in the Under 12 age group for 2000.
Read all about my experiences when :
I took part in the British Championships in October '99 in Brean Sands, in Somerset!!!!!
And the World Championship Qualifiers in Coventry in December '99!!!!!
I've just heard that Celtic Image® have created a wonderful new doll!
