Friday 16th October my Dad telephoned Celtic Image who had already told him
that they would try to finish the dress in time for the
East of England Championships in Peterborough which were
on the 17th and 18th. They told him that the dress was almost ready so he could come down and collect it if he wanted! I was at school so he came to get me and we rushed down in the car to Colchester. On the way my Mum was sewing a new headband for me that she had made to go with the dress. It is a long way to go but we arrived at about half past twelve. Martin and Paul and the rest welcomed us like old friends and I tried on the dress so that they could make the final alterations. When I did so it was decided that the zip needed to be a little bit longer so that it wouldn't rip as I squeezed my behind in to the dress. Whilst they were fitting a longer zip my Mum was sorting out my hair into ringlets so that I could have a photo done in my dress.Eventually the dress was ready to wear and Martin set up his camera to take a few pictures for their files. that you are dying to see what the dress looks like so
here are some photos! Sorry, there is only one today. As soon as Dad gets his film back there will be more. (MORE NOW!) Please note that the colours are not right either. The Red should be pink and the green is brighter! Now you know what it looks like please say HELLO if you see me at the Feisanna. The next one I will be at is in Wolverhampton in the Midlands on November 21st. |
