Kildare Championships Coventry
Fourth in the Slip Jig and Sixth in the Trophy

18th October 1997
Make My First Move up to
PRIMARY grade by coming SECOND in the SLIP JIG at the East of England Championships, Peterborough, run by the STANLEY SCHOOL Of IRISH DANCING. I also got commended in the Reel, Fourth in the Hop Jig and Fifth in the Trophy.

15th November 1997
Doherty School Championships - Wolverhampton
Seventh in the Reel, Eighth in the Light Jig and Eighth in the Novice Trophy.

7th December 1997
My third Class feis
Commended (Reel), THIRD (Single Jig), Sixth (Slip Jig) and Fourth in the Trophy.

January 1998
Had my first lesson in HEAVY SHOE dances. We were all excited about it but none of my class had their shoes!

24th January 1998
Feis McCarron - Kings Norton
Twelfth (Reel), Seventh (Single Jig), Seventh (Light Jig) and Fifth in the Trophy

21st February 1998
40th Colmcille Feis - Kings Norton again!

Sixth and Single Jig Ninth

21st March 1998
Got my
First FIRST! I won the NOVICE REEL and then came FIRST in the Light TROPHY as well. What a great feeling! I also got Fourth in the Single Jig and Seventh in the Light Jig.
